The Close Protection Industry in the UK operates on a relatively well-established model, whereby the 'Operator' is a licenced Close Protection Officer (CPO) who also holds a First Aid certificate. The idea being that if the Principal requires immediate First Aid support, the CPO can also render this aid
It is recognised that in a true medical emergency, a highly qualified and experienced Healthcare Professional will be very well-placed to afford the Principal exceptional levels of clinical care within an immediate timeframe. This model forms the basis of our niche, expert provision, by providing a dual-qualified, highly experienced, licenced security professional, who is also an extremely well-qualified, Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Paramedic
This model of having a highly experienced Paramedic, equipped with advanced life support capability, a monitor / defibrillator, emergency medications and the experience and expertise to employ advanced clinical decision making at the point of incident is truly revolutionary, and affords the Principal a level of care above that of a regular NHS ambulance Paramedic, and crucially, within an immediate timeframe.
